The original engine was badly corroded having spent the last 40 years with the clutch cover removed and almost no protection form the british weather so another engine was found.

This engine turned out to be a mix of 250 and 350 components. Aa 350 cylinder, a high compression piston, a 250 crankshaft, 4 speed gearbox and casings.

I decided to put the machine back to original spec using the original Daytona cylinder, beval gears and crankshaft all of which cleaned up OK, a new piston from Road and Race and the gearbox head and casings from the repalcement engine. Gaskets and seals were provided by Road and Race.
