My paintings are poetic abstractions.

I use strict formal structure in order to explore colour interaction. My recent series of paintings uses reverse sequencing and repetition in order to find out what happens as one hue moves into another across the picture plane. The long ‘edge’ of the stripe and the wide format of the canvas encourage optical fusion.
