Jane Whittle

My work is rooted in the natural forms and features of a beautiful gap in the map where I live. I make drawings, books of poems, water colour paintings, large collages and cards. I use layers of textured and coloured transparent paper to play with scale, so the image can become as enigmatic as the changing effects of light, season, time and weather upon the shape, detail and colour of hills, woods and shore. I hope to communicate a sense of surprise and wonder.

I exhibit in Wales and my work may always be seen in Yr Hen Feudy (The Old Cowshed), the gallery at Tyr Gawen.
